Ece Cangüden (b. 1989, Istanbul) is a multidisciplinary artist and interior architect based in Berlin. Her practice operates across painting, sculpture, and installation, engaging questions of the body, memory, and resettlement through material transformation and process-based methodologies.
Drawing on everyday objects and organic forms, she constructs spatial and visual narratives that negotiate the tension between the familiar and the uncanny, often foregrounding states of instability, decay, and reconfiguration. Her recent work reflects on cultural inheritance and the formation of belonging within shifting socio-spatial contexts.
Selected recent solo and duo exhibitions include Feral Circuits (2025, Kulturfabrik Burgdorf, supported by Stadt Burgdorf), Plus More As Needed (2025, Kunstraum Ortloff, Leipzig, supported by Stadt Leipzig), Feral Stations (2024, Viable, Istanbul, supported by Goethe-Institut), and Xenoshift (2025, Bärenzwinger, Berlin, supported by Bezirksamt Mitte).
